The Energy Edit

A journey through the chakras

The Energy Edit is a seven-part workshop series designed to help you fine-tune the energy of both your physical and subtle body.

Each 90-minute session explores one of the seven primary chakras through intentional movement, breathwork, meditation, journaling, and guided discussion.

Led by: Sara Fracasso, MS, ATC, RYT

I’ve spent over a decade working as an athletic trainer, specializing in musculoskeletal injuries and helping people return to function. My work has always been grounded in anatomy, biomechanics, and evidence-based care.

In 2022, I became a registered yoga teacher. That experience shifted my perspective in ways I didn’t expect. I began to see how often pain isn’t just mechanical, and how frequently injury is influenced by nervous system load, chronic stress, and the quiet pressure to push through instead of listen.

My yoga teacher training taught me that recovery isn’t just about fixing what’s injured: it’s about learning when to push, when to soften, and how to live in a body that’s constantly under pressure to perform.

The Energy Edit was born from that integration: a space where we honor the body’s intelligence, reclaim personal power, and practice radical self-respect in a culture that constantly asks us to override ourselves.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question 1: Do I need previous yoga experience to participate?

Not at all! This is an all-levels yoga practice. We will discuss the core tenets of yoga and explore asana (poses), the breath, and meditative techniques in a way that will deepen your practice -- whether you are a seasoned yoga practitioner or this is your first class ever.

Please let me know if you're dealing with any injuries or pain in your body so I can help make this class more comfortable and accessible for everyone!

Question 2: What should I wear? What should I bring?

Wear something comfy but form fitting (not super baggy) that you can move in easily. I recommend wearing layers in case you get cold/hot during our practice - we won't be moving the whole time.

I will provide yoga mats and blankets. If you have/like yoga blocks, please feel free to bring them, but they aren't required.

I recommend you bring a water bottle and a pen. We will provide journaling opportunities and a workbook for you to jot down your thoughts during this experience.

I understand the need to carry a cell phone, but please consider leaving yours in the car. If you must bring your phone into the studio, please switch it into SILENT mode before you enter the space. If you have an emergency or need your phone, please speak to Sara before class begins.

Question 3: What is a chakra?

A chakra is a spinning wheel or vortex of energy in the subtle body, originating from ancient Indian traditions (Hinduism, Yoga, Ayurveda) representing key energy centers from the base of the spine to the crown of the head, governing physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being, with the seven main ones each linked to specific functions, colors (Root: red, Sacral: orange, Solar Plexus: yellow, Heart: green, Throat: blue, Third Eye: indigo, Crown: violet), and aspects of life, influencing vitality when balanced and causing ailments when blocked or overactive.

Question 4: When should I arrive?

Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to find your face, select your props, and get settled in. We will begin promptly at the start time.
